“Dolly” is a spent hen. She no longer lays eggs and now spends her time in the coop preening herself and watching all the other girls work. She served her purpose and now gets to do exactly what she wants. She has even let her hair grow out and lets her dancing shoes on just in case. Lucky girl I’d say.
“Dolly” stands at 14” x 8” x 6”. Made of stoneware with multiple layers of slips and underglazes. She is finished with a coating of encaustic wax and a shellac burn to give her a wonderful sheen. She is quite the stunner.
